Used to be that the compassionate Left in this country could be expected to add a worthwhile perspective on human events. Today, the Left seems capable only of blind reactionary hatred.
Case in point: yesterday's posting on the popular left-leaning Daily Kos blog about the murdered and mutilated Americans in Fallujah.
That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries. They aren't in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them.
Hmmm . . . I thought the Left was supposed to be the voice of the working man.
For that matter, I thought the Left was supposed to be the conscience of the nation, the fighter of fascism, the advocate of democracy, freedom and human dignity.
